The nomination deadline for the August 2020 OG Lease Auction was June 19th, 2020.

August Nominated Tract List

EnergyNet will begin auctioning the approved nominated tracts beginning on July 28th through August 4th.

The proposed Continuing Appropriation Authority Policy were presented to the Board of University and School Lands (Board) on June 25, 2020 for the first reading and will be presented to the Board at the Board’s July 29, 2020 meeting for the second reading.  The policies will become effective after the second reading in accordance with the Board’s policy titled Policy Introduction/Amendment/Passage.  Comments will be accepted by the Department of Trust Lands through 5:00 p.m. on July 22, 2020.

Comments must be in writing and submitted to the Department of Trust Lands at dtlrequest@nd.gov.

According to Ch. 15-09 N.D.C.C., notice is hereby given that the North Dakota Game and Fish Department has submitted an application to purchase (114) acres of land, more or less, in Richland Co., ND, for a public shooting range and Wildlife Management Area purposes in:

Township 130 North, Range 50 West

Section 16: E½SW¼, E½W½SW¼

The Commissioner or Board of University and School Lands has set a preliminary price for this parcel at $82,000.00. The Board of University and School Lands reserves the right to raise the price. The purchaser must pay the following additional costs: Appraisal Fees: $3,800, Land Sale fee $100, and Advertising Cost $170. A hearing has been set for July 15, 2020, at 2.00 PM CT, via conference call. The Department of Trust Lands will be suspending the May 2020 EnergyNet Oil and Gas Lease Auction.

The Department of Trust Lands’ next oil and gas lease nomination deadline is scheduled to end on June 19, 2020.

The spring surface lease auctions scheduled for March 23 - 26 are postponed.  We will post here as well as in the official county newspapers when we have new auction dates set.

We have a responsibility to you and to each other. We are following the North Dakota Department of Health guidelines to stay healthy and slow the spread of COVID-19; specifically in this instance avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people.
